Modular coffee table, Scacchi model by Mario Bellini for C&B / B&B, 1970s

Scacchi are occasional tables or extra seating, which can be freely configured. In this case, a set of three modules is offered, forming a coffee table measuring 90cm x 75cm, which can be divided into separate seats when needed.
In the 1970s version offered here, they are made from a special material derived from rubber and plastic (Duraplum), giving them a firm feel with a rubber-like finish to the touch.
The "Scacchi" were designed by Mario Bellini for C&B/ B&B Italia in 1971 to complement the modules of the "Camaleonda" sofa.
They can be used as side tables between living room sofas or as extra seating
Condition: the modules for sale have no significant defects, only the patina of use and age. Maker's mark on the underside
