The MED chair was designed in 1983 by Giotto Stoppino and Lodovico Acerbis for Acerbis. It is distinguished by its contrast between curves and straight lines, as seen in the distinctive cross-section of its legs, which recalls Manhattan’s Flatiron Building, and the rounded backrest and seat made from bent plywood. In 2022, Acerbis reissued the chairs in its Remasters collection; this set, however, is from the original 1980s production and stands out for its glossy black polyester lacquer, compared with the matte finishes of more recent production. The upholstery and padding have been renewed with new foam and top-quality rust-colored velvet.
Condition: The upholstery is like new. Two chairs have paint defects on the upper part of one leg (visible in the last four photos). However, these defects are not easy to notice.
