Joe Colombo Acrylic Lamp for Oluce 1962
Sold out
Rare model 281 lamp, later nicknamed "Acrylic", recalling the material of which it is made. In fact, methacrylate, which has already been used for about a decade in the lighting field, usually in thin cut or thermoformed sheets, finds a very particular use here. The particular shape and thickness of the curve that makes up the 281 allows the fluorescent light, contained in the white painted metal base, to travel up the block until it illuminates the head of the lamp.
